City Shade Company is a family-run business, and our loved ones mean the world to us. To help protect your little ones, we proudly adhere to the window covering safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Council and the Window Covering Manufacturers Association. City Shade Company offers a wide range of cordless or motorized products designed to eliminate safety hazards associated with operating cords. If you can’t go completely cordless, there are other precautions you can take to reduce the hazards of corded blinds, shades, and draperies. The use of inner cord stops, breakaway safety tassels, cord cleats and tensioners can help keep cords out of the reach of children.

When do you charge my credit card?
As your window treatment is custom-made to fit your window, we will charge your credit card when your order is placed.
How long does it approximately take to manufacture my order?
We take great pride in producing your dream come true, custom-made window coverings. Depending on the product you selected, your lead time can be between one to four weeks. Supply chain issues can cause additional delays.
Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, we charge sales tax in all 48 continental US states. We don't sell in Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories.
Where can I track the status of my order?
You will receive an email tracking as soon as your order ships. You can also contact customer service by clicking here.
What do I do when my order has arrived?
Congratulations! Your order has arrived! Make sure to open the box carefully and inspect the order. Please keep the original packaging and only throw it away when you are certain that you do not need to initiate a return. Returns can only be accepted in rare instances in the original packaging. What do I need to install my window treatment?
To install your window treatment you will need a metal tape measure, a Phillips screwdriver and a Phillips drill with drill bits.

What if my pet ruined my window treatment?

There is a problem with the motorized solution purchased from you. What do I do now?
How do I go about a return?
City Shade Company does not accept returns of custom-made window treatments as a general guideline. In the unlikely event that a manufacturing error occurred, that your shipment was mixed up with another order or that your shipment was damaged in transit, the first step is to reach out to City Shade Customer Care immediately upon receipt and inspection of your order. A City Shade associate will assist you with the next steps. Please also see “What to do if my order has arrived”.
What if I don’t like what I ordered?
If you are not satisfied with the style, color or quality of your window treatment, please reach out to City Shade Customer Care immediately after receipt of your shipment. A dedicated City Shade Customer Care associate will work with you to help rectify the issue.
